  1. I am not calling out the Repubs as being the Democratic Republic of Korea, but there is a definite “Pusan Perimeter” look to that map.

  2. Several years ago, someone coined the term “parentheses nation” based on the map that showed Democrat control primarily on the coasts with the vast majority of the interior being Red. Looking at this map, it appears even the parentheses are breaking up.

  3. For the next two years the GOP will demonstrate how to screw up a win. The good news is the left thinks Hillary is there best chance, forgetting that unknowns they can define have always been their best candidates.

    1. The GOP won in the Senate seat in Arkansas, won the governorship there, and also now holds every congressional seat in Arkansas for the first time since the 1870’s. That should pretty much end Hillary’s presidential ambitions. At least for four years, anyhow.

      1. Hillary Clinton (who now calls New York home), and the people who want to nominate her, aren’t counting on winning Arkansas.

        1. Yeah, they are counting on winning the quote marks, as well Florida, Colorado, and Illinois too, but I’ll think they’ll be lucky to get the quote marks.

        2. “Hillary Clinton (who now calls New York home), ”

          …another carpetbagger….

“and the people who want to nominate her, aren’t counting on winning Arkansas.”

Oh? And how do you know this? Are you part of the Hillary Campaign staff? You part of the Privy Council?

Or are you just trying to paper over the despair?

          I suspect the latter.

          1. The poor little carpetbagger had no idea how she was to afford her million dollar home and per her daughter through her Ivy League school after living 2 decades in government provided housing. She’s just like you and me don’t you know

          2. Obama was handily elected twice without winning Arkansas, and Hillary Clinton could do the same. There are states she can’t win without (starting with New York, California and Illinois), but Arkansas isn’t close to being one of them.

Sorry you cannot dodge the question:

HOW DO YOU KNOW that the Clinton staff aren’t counting on winning Arkansas? Spewing forth what happened 20+ years ago isn’t an explanation for your declarative statement about what will happen 2 years from now.

          4. HOW DO YOU KNOW that the Clinton staff aren’t counting on winning Arkansas?

The same way I know they aren’t counting on winning Utah. Honestly, you’re embarrassing yourself.

      2. Honestly, if Hillary had a chance, she would have beat Obama. The fact that the Dems broke for Obama shows that they don’t really like her, either. The recurrent cries of inevitably, I think, are more a reflection of our fears than of reality.

    1. And that is an insult, how? Funny how those residents of non-Jesus land have given us statism, internment camps, prolonged depressions… just sayin’

  4. And yet it is Obama using religion to coerce people to follow his agenda items Obamacare, global warming, and souls to the polls while using his base’s bigotry toward Christians to inflame hatred and get those people in blue cities to the voter booth.

  5. Looks to me like it takes much more gas to traverse “flyover” country. And there are fewer and fewer chardonnay and brie airports for the lib/progs to choose from…their world is contracting.

You know, the world is full of lovely little ironies. One of them is that finallly…finally…Dukakis’ campaign theme finally came true (the latter half) for the Dems:

“This election isn’t about ideology; it’s about competence.”

What contributed to the severe political nuking the lib/progs got was that in this case, it was also about ideology: demonstrated, corrosive, destructive; lethal lib/prog ideology.

  6. On October 17, 2013, President Obama said “You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. ”

    DONE.

  7. An electoral geography tidbit I heard today: the Democrats lost 7% of their House seats, but 29% of their House acreage.
