  1. The result at restaurants will be small servings of bland and unexciting food, garnished with artfully sliced celery with an abstract patterned line of sauce overlay. They implemented the in yer face calorie count thing in Kalifornia some years back and, when not ignored, it’s either ruined or put out of business the better eateries.

    1. I have not seen any evidence that the (admittedly stupid) calorie labeling rules have hurt restaurants in SoCal. Very few put the info in the menu though; it’s usually in a separate pamphlet.

      1. It’s an added cost. Think of how much time is spent determining calories, getting the paperwork printed, paying the cost of labor, printing, etc.

        Just another way absurd regulations drive up costs.
