Many Americans who might otherwise be inclined to worry about incremental man-made warming will ignore it because they have no interest in assuming all the ideological baggage that comes with this admission. Joining the Left on “climate change” means joining it on array of agenda items that are often incompatible with many Americans’ economic and political beliefs.
Global warming isn’t just about the dangers or CO2 but fighting modern agriculture practices and pollution that doesn’t affect the climate. Democrats do this on every issue. The Ferguson protests weren’t just about Brown but rather Palestine and other issues. Maybe they view this as coalition building or that by including other issues they get more Democrat activists to support them on a specific cause but the Federalist piece is right, its a big turn off to most people.
Leftists don’t do ala carte very well. They expect you to buy into the whole ball of shit, internal contradictions included.
They are like a corrupt cable company…..a very, very, very, very corrupt cable company.
Who says that the broader case of environmentalism-as-malware is failing? It’s been a key reason for the export of a lot of US industries. Why do you think all electronics comes from overseas these days?
