Christians Thrown Overboard

…left to drown by Barack Obama. Thoughts from a fellow Democrat:

As Renzi was questioned about the incident, Obama was mute on the killings. He failed to interject any sense of outrage or even tepid concern for the targeting of Christians for their faith. If a Christian mob on a ship bound for Italy threw 12 Muslims to their death for praying to Allah, does anyone think the president would have been so disinterested? When three North Carolina Muslims were gunned down by a virulent atheist, Obama rightly spoke out against the horrifying killings. But he just can’t seem to find any passion for the mass persecution of Middle Eastern Christians or the eradication of Christianity from its birthplace.

FTR, I don’t believe that Barack Obama is a Christian. When he says he is, as with much else, he is simply lying. He doesn’t believe in anything higher than himself.

  1. Personally, I don’t look to Obama or any other president for comment on every single bad thing that happens anywhere in the world. That he didn’t comment isn’t surprising because it doesn’t advance his world view.

    1. I agree, but I don’t exempt the whole administration. Jen “party on Garth” Psaki was asked about the religious aspect of the post Hebdo kosher food hostage situation in Paris and tried to suggest religion had nothing to do with it. Same again when ISIS first mass executed Christians on the beach in Libya. In the latter discussion, she went on to spout a common myth of progressives that terrorism is rooted in the poverty of the terrorist, despite many terrorist coming from wealthy families, such as Bin Laden and the Jihadi John executioner formerly a British DJ.

Later, an Egyptian newspaper interviews a man whose brother was among those executed by ISIS. The man survived because he was ill, but otherwise he would have been with his brother. What did his brother do? ISIS put up a “help wanted” ad looking for laborers to help with work. When unemployed people looking for work showed up, if they didn’t pray to Mecca, they were kidnapped for the later display of mass execution. In other words, it was the victims of terrorism that are poor, and they all happen to be of a specific religion being killed by members of a different and also specific religion. The State Department shouldn’t be trying to hide these facts with myths and spin. And Obama should get rid of any spokesperson this irresponsible.

  2. “He doesn’t believe in anything higher than himself.” That’s what I’ve been telling people for 6 years.

  3. A person’s career can be destroyed because a person years or decades before uttered a word once, regardless of context, that begins with the letter N. Lying about something of serious concern, that involves actual death and continuous acts of murder, doesn’t even merit a note in their personnel file.

  4. Exactly, it didn’t advance his world view. As a Christian I do find the act of killing people for their religion appalling and outrageous. ANY murder done in the name of GOD is evil, but man has a long history of using God as an excuse for all types of atrocities.

  5. Do you feel a similar sense of outrage when Christian militias in the Central African Republic commit atrocities against muslims, including beheadings? Or do you simply dismiss them as “not true Christians” in the way that mainstream muslims would condemn these acts committed in the name of Allah?

    1. Who are you writing your comment to, Dave? The agnostic host of this blog? You really ask some of the most bazaar and ignorant things in these comment threads. Have you ever thought about educating yourself? Have you ever thought?

    2. If the beheadings are occurring for the sole reason that those beheaded are Muslims, then of course it’s outrageous. What a stupid question.

But unlike the Quran, nowhere in the New Testament does it call for death to infidels.

    3. …in the way that mainstream muslims would condemn these acts committed in the name of Allah…

Sorry to obliterate your strawman, but I don’t find many instances where mainstream Muslims condemn the acts of the radical adherents of their religion.

    4. “Do you feel a similar sense of outrage when Christian militias in the Central African Republic commit atrocities against muslims, including beheadings?”

Yes. I think you are referring to a militia not plural and while it is horrible and I am glad we are helping fight them, they are not laying waste to large portions of the globe. The scale is much different.

Also, this provides the opportunity to look at the differences between religion and culture. The atrocities committed by this Christian militia might be done in the name of religion but they are not a part of that religion. What I mean by that is that Christianity doesn’t teach its followers to act that way. Where does this behavior come from?

IMO, it comes from a broken culture. But would anyone label it as such when the people are motivated by their religious beliefs?

Coming back to scale. I don’t get why leftists always reflexively side with anti-American groups. It doesn’t matter if it is the Muslim Brotherhood, FARC, or some other group. The uniting factor always seems to be a hatred of the USA and groups that are perceived to be similar to Democrats domestic political opponents, like Christians.

Whenever the Muslim jihadis kill hundreds of thousands of people, Democrats always try to bring up some much much much smaller scale bad behavior of… Christians. You could just denounce the jihadis or select a different group like buddhists. Going out of your way to drag in Christians is just a reflexive sign of whom Democrats really hate.

The defense always reads like this, “Oh sure some Muslims do a few bad things but lets not forget about how awful the Christians are.” Always ignoring the scale and often place in time as well. Far more people have died in these Arab Spring countries than died in the last Iraq war and in a much shorter time. I am not sure how many people that Christian militia in Africa has killed but it is hundreds of thousands if not around a million less than what Muslims are experiencing at the hands of other Muslims.

There is genocide taking place right now in the Middle East and Africa. When Obama can bring himself to even mention it, he says it is deserved because of the Crusades or some other nonsense from a thousand years ago. And in our own country, Democrats are ramping up their anti Jewish and Christian policies trying to make them second class citizens and push them out of our society.

Is it any wonder why Obama doesn’t speak up for Christian victims abroad when his own party is anti-Christian at home? We all know how Democrats would respond if Obama said he was going to do something to stop the genocide of Christians, they would be rioting in the streets, something they couldn’t bring themselves to do over going to war in Libya.

  6. You people still don’t get it about Omarxi. The man is a traitor. He couldn’t be more damaging to the USA if he had received his 30 pieces of silver from Russia’s FSB or Chinese Public Security. These people- Obama and the left in general-do not play by Marquis of Queensberry rules.

  7. Dave, evil is evil. What part of evil do you not understand?

Are you trying to justify evil?

    1. Dave is a rhetorical wimp. He drops these ignorant loafs in the comment section and runs away snickering like a grade school prankster. You ask too much of him to debate him directly. It is not within his character or perhaps even his ability. Particularly on a subject such as this, because his character is that of a coward, and a coward has no means to stand up to evil.
