While the article is interesting, and Richard Tol is certainly an important source, I think that it is misleading to call it the consensus of expert opinion, something the author repeats several times. Tol’s paper is controversial, and economics is far from a worked-out science. There are economists with Nobel Prizes on both sides here.
That is just one of the two reasons that the climate jihad is so ridiculous:
1) We have essentially no control over the global climate
2) If we did, we would prefer it warmer anyway
While everyone argues over the first, the second makes the whole discussion entirely pointless anyway. It’s insane.

Insanity is often what seems to happen in drives for social and political control, when those desiring control cannot admit the reasons why they want the control, or even that control *is*the* desired*outcome*, no matter what the excuse.
