Obama has made it clear that the climate and other environmental policies would be a second-term priority for him and part of what he hopes to define his presidency.
So, as usual, the democrats throw the poor and middle class over the bus to appease wealthy democrats who can afford to pay higher energy bills.
And, as usual, it’s the republicans who are there to defend the poor and middle class. I certainly hope the republicans will have the strength to reduce everyone’s health care, education and housing costs.
What’s embarrassing is how Obama can’t even get his own appointed stooges on the court on board for much of this. We shouldn’t let this stay this way. There’s way too much dependence on the US Supreme Court to do the right thing. It’s like driving so poorly you have to continually depend on your seatbelt to stay alive during what should be routine day-to-day travel.
And even if a seatbelt saves your life, you may still be severely injured.
