  1. I’ve long thought that the way to win the cultural war is to provide free Western cable/satellite TV translated into whatever languages and air dropping xbox’s and PS4’s, perhaps minus the FPS games.

  2. My impression is that a lot of muslims are so more in name than in rigorous practice, practicing a veneer of the religion of least resistance.

    1. One of my Muslim friends in the UK said he used to like going to the mosque with his parents as a kid because he could sneak out and get a bacon sandwich while they were doing religious stuff.

  3. I wonder to what extent the problem is specific to the way that Middle-Eastern culture interprets Islam? The troublemakers seem usually to be or take their inspration from the Arab countries and Iran, not so often from, say, Turkey or Malaysia or Kazakhstan.
