  1. If the people providing the water were a private company, they would need to make sure the water was pure in order to (a) sell it, and (b) avoid law-suits.

    It certainly wouldn’t be in its current state.

  2. They just need to replace the water plumbing infrastructure with new pipes. A large portion of the US infrastructure has been crumbling. We keep hearing that for the last decade its little surprise it happened someplace eventually. Heck I saw it first hand every time I went there.

    A private water monopoly is not the answer. If they need more money to replace the pipes they can just issue a bond and raise water prices.

    1. This is a very ignorant statement. Bond money rarely goes to the actual project. It’s often used to pay off old debts or to pay off the public unions through pay raises or refilling pension coffers that have been depleted due to corruption.
