  1. I have my doubts, but I hope this is true, because if it is, it’s good news.

If ISIS needs money that badly, that’s good news in itself. If they are killing their own fighters, that’s good on many levels.

  2. I think there were reports of them selling the organs of their prisoners so this wouldn’t be that much different for them.

  3. The Daily Mail is not the most reliable source.

The story also bears a notable similarity to various urban legends about black-market organ trafficking. The problem with all those stories (apart from lack of evidence) is that they ignore the problem of tissue matching, which makes large-scale organ trafficking improbable.

I’m skeptical that ISIS still has the modern medical facilities required for a trafficking operation like this even if the idea occurred to them.

  4. Additionally, I know that some schools of Islam object to organ transplantation in general. (I don’t know what the ISIS view is.)

  5. While it sounds like something the may do, I don’t see the logistics at all.

You’d need a doctor who knows how to harvest the organs, a facility to perform the surgery, and a method to keep/preserve the organs after harvesting. Lastly, they would need to know the blood type (at least) and ensure no blood borne diseases.

Most likely another Mirror crap report.
