      1. Are you kidding? They do it all the time, especially with regard to political campaigns. Many contributors to fox news are republicans that worked for dems at some point.

  1. This is just reaching across the aisle right? Nothing to worry about. Being collegial and all that. You know…just like Ryan, Boehner, McConnell……. everyone does it….Think nothing of it..

    Because it’s only the start.

  2. Yep, those nasty commenters at Breitbart are now saying the end justifies the means for their hero, Trump.

  3. If you voted for Trump……

And you bet your vote that a vote for Trump communicates to the GOPe just how dissatisfied you are with the GOP….YOU LOST!

Why? Because they already know that..they think you are a goofball. They’ve known you are dissatisfied since 2008. They don’t care. They tell you what you want to here and then laugh at you at the cocktail party. Because you got in line every single time.

If you bet your vote for Trump that you are communicating to the GOPe that you don’t want their milquetoast establishment types as president….if you view your vote for Trump as a protest vote……that THIS TIME you are not getting into line……that you are making a statement…….YOU LOST!

Why? Because the GOPe will pull a Sharon Angle on you:

“See those dissatisfied goofball republicans who won’t kiss our ring and vote for who we tell them to vote for…they vote for an embarrassing moron. OF COURSE we’ll never listen to them so long as they vote for idiots.”

Your protest will be ignored and the idea that you are too stupid to be listened to will be reinforced…not degraded.

The rest of the bets people made with their Trump vote will come around in due time – if he wins the election.

A BIG if. Women just love him. Hispanics just love him. Real Conservatives just love him…..

Have your money ready for the Bookie…not that it will matter….you’ll be politically and psychologically kneecapped anyway.. Things like:

Trump knows the first thing about foreign policy

Trump has the slightest clue how to deal with the world in general and China in particular, economically.

Trump knows how to deal with the rest of the world militarily.

Trump will make America Great Again.

He’s spouted several different, orthogonal views on all of that stuff and backtracked countless times (“The military will do what I say because they will obey my orders…”)

And if he loses to Hillary…if Hillary is our *GAK* president for 4 years, the only voters to be blamed will be Trump primary voters.

    1. This political ad paid for by the Hilary Clinton for President committee.
      Viva Hillary!

  4. This is a repost from here because that thread is now a page down, and might be stale, and I want it to be noticed.

Sometimes, you have to make a deal with the devil to live to fight on. To the NeverTrumpers, I would say you are EverDemocrats. Once Hillary gets a Supreme Court majority, it’s going to be well nigh impossible for conservatives to win for a long, long time.

So, bask in your purity and admire yourself in the mirror if you like. But, don’t come crying to me when you find yourself living your life diminished in a nation you no longer recognize, every waking moment, until you die.

    1. Absolutely. These folks who stayed home when McCain ran and puffed out their chests saying “I won’t vote because he’s not conservative enough on issue XYZ” and then stayed home when Romney ran, saying the same crap, literally GAVE this country to Obama for the last 8 years, period. The worst part is those people are the ones who yell loudest about how bad Obama is. Well, folks, you have a chance to do something positive – instead of simple self-glorification. Vote for Trump, not because you like him, but because Hillary (and the possible 3 Supreme Court Appointees in her terms) will change this country IRREVOCABLY!!! Stop acting like spoiled babies who won’t play unless it’s their ball, their rules, and they get to bat first.

      1. Well I didn’t stay home when McCain ran even though I knew he was a RINO. I voted for McCain.

I didn’t stay home when Romney ran even though he is a self-identified Progressive – his own words. I knew he would be disappointing in some ways if he won. I voted for Romney.

I didn’t stay home for GHWB even though I knew he wasn’t a deep small government Conservative. I did know that he was a serious man with a serious portfolio. I voted for GHWB.

I didn’t stay home for GWB even though his “Compassionate Conservatism” grated against the nerves and told me that he would be disappointing in many ways. I expected a deal like No Child Left Behind with Fat Boy Ted Kennedy. I was right. I voted for GWB.

None of these men were/are blithering idiots who haven’t a clue.

      2. ” Vote for Trump, not because you like him, but because Hillary (and the possible 3 Supreme Court Appointees in her terms) will change this country IRREVOCABLY!!! ”

I’ve got some news for you:

You haven’t the faintest idea who Trump would pick for the Supreme Court. Neither does he. Even Reagan can make a mistake on that score.

If you think Trump would put up a Scalia or a Bork, you might be in gor quite the surprise.

That said, there’s a TINY chance Trump could do the right thing.

There’s no chance Hillary would do the right thing.

        1. there’s a TINY chance Trump could do the right thing.

What are the chances with Hillary? Buckley said what you must do. He never promised you’d like it.

      3. But we know the Trump voters would have stayed at home if their guy had lost. They affirmed it as much, over and over again, because Lyin’ Ted was stealing their votes.

        1. “But we know the Trump voters would have stayed at home if their guy had lost. ”

          Do we?

How do we know that? What people say 8 months before the election and what they do can be two different things.

You are also ignoring the possibility that another nominee could have unified the party.

Lastly, I’m not convinced that a Trump devotee would stay home because it’s effectively a vote for Hillary.

          1. Hate to break it to you, but a big block of Trump voters were what used to be called “Blue Dog” Dems: the old Reagan Democrats. Trump was going to bring them to the party, but there was no way that they would have turned out to vote for Glen Beck’s Chosen American Messiah. Next time, try running someone who can appeal to a lot of voters, instead of someone who has a lot of appeal to a smaller group that already was going to vote for him.

          2. “Hate to break it to you, but a big block of Trump voters were what used to be called “Blue Dog” Dems: the old Reagan Democrats.”

Hate to break it to you but a lot of dems voted for Trump to ensure his nomination because he’s very beatable.

Plus how do you know blue dogs even exist any more?

That was over 20 years ago.

          3. a lot of dems voted for Trump to ensure his nomination because he’s very beatable.

When he becomes president, the joke will be on them, eh? (Have I ever fed you a better straight line?)

          4. how do you know blue dogs even exist any more?

Because many ‘democrats’ still identify as such for no ideological reason. The manipulation vote is a tiny fraction of those that sincerely support Trump. Just looking at the crowds he draws should tell you that.

Trump isn’t some prepackaged candidate. He isn’t hiding who he is. That’s why you can point out his flaws.

That you equate him with Mr. teleprompter is hilarious.

          5. I’m not convinced that a Trump devotee would stay home because it’s effectively a vote for Hillary.

They’ve been staying home. The republican nominees are no better than Hillary with regard to what they care about.

Anti-American leaders are not worth voting for.

  5. Trump also said he might choose a Democrat for VP.

    Then said he wouldn’t.

Unless he changes his mind again, of course.

But most likely he won’t. That leaves the door open for Nazis, Klansmen, and other members of his broad-based coalition. It appears David Duke is available.

      1. The Nazis and the Klan disagree. They call him “our White Knight.” But what would they know about it?

        I know, “A is no A.” 🙂

      2. Because it justifies Ed’s self-opinion. See, he thinks Trump is a Nazi… so it makes him smart. In the mirror, at least.

        1. If we were smart, he wouldn’t be “liberal.” Smart people aren’t so gullible.

        2. I know that reading is something Trump supporters have trouble with, but try, Dave.

I did not say Trump was a Nazi. The anonymous troll who calls himself Wodun misquoted me as saying that. Either maliciously, or because he cannot read any better than you do.

I said that Trump had apparently ruled out a Democrat for VP, but Nazis were still options and Klansmen were apparently still options. The so-called “Alt Right” (Nazis and Klan) are an important part of Trump’s coalition. They have been responsible for many of the death threats against opposition delegates.

Now, if you could read, you would know I was not talking about Trump himself because the Presidential candidate cannot nominate himself as Vice President, he has to nominate someone who is *not* Trump.

I realize that the English language is terribly confusing and hard for you to understand — an unfortunate side effect of turning your brain over to Donald Trump.

  6. “Trump also said he might choose a Democrat for VP.

    Then said he wouldn’t.

Unless he changes his mind again, of course.”

A fine example of Trump changing his mind on a critical issue….

    “But most likely he won’t.”

With Trump we cannot say what is most likely except, perhaps, that he is unpredictable.

    1. Trump floats his own trial balloons. Other politicians, being less honest, do it through others so they can lyingly claim it wasn’t their idea. You aught to be giving him points for candor.

This gives you the rare opportunity to provide feedback without the machinations politicians usually force upon us.

Trump’s biggest flaw is being a successful common man. Like most, he thinks he knows more than he actually does. The genius’s we’ve elected in the past haven’t done a very good job. Trump has potential that purists are blind to (ironically calling everyone else blind.) We see his flaws. We’re not blind to them.

      1. Trump tells lies. Other politicians, being less honest…

Ken, there’s a glitch in your Trump mind-control chip. You keep repeating the same thing over and over again. Contact Trump developer support and tell them you’re caught in an infinite loop.

Also, the notion than lying makes him “honest” just makes no sense. But no need to report that as a bug, since it’s “by design.”

        1. You don’t know the difference between a trial balloon and a lie?

          That explains a lot.

  7. Well that certainly didn’t take long:

Donald Trump breaks with Republicans on raising taxes, minimum wage

By Ben Wolfgang – The Washington Times – Sunday, May 8, 2016

In an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,”Mr. Trump went beyond his disdain for free trade, long a linchpin of conservative thought. He also said he would be willing to raise taxes and that he favors increasing the minimum wage.

“We have to negotiate. The thing I’m going to do is make sure the middle class gets good tax breaks. For the wealthy, frankly, I think it’s going to go up. And it should go up,” he said in the interview, which was recorded Saturday and aired Sunday.”

Let’s see….tax breaks for the middle class…..tax hikes on the wealthy…where have I heard THAT before?

Oh yeah…Bernie the Socialist, Hillary, Obama……

But don’t call him a Democrat!

Hell no! He’s a Conservative through and through!

    The kneecapping continues……

    1. Mr. Trump went beyond his disdain for free trade

Gimme a break. Trump is talking about targeted tariffs. Do you know who implemented targeted tariffs? Ronald Reagan.
