  1. Mattis moving from “attrition strategy,” to “annihilation strategy.”

ISIS (and Erdogan) sleeping less with Mad Dog in charge!

    1. Good. He thinks that he can sow the wind…time for him to reap the whirlwind.

The Civilized West has tried and tried again with the Turks and Ottomans. No more. No EU, boot them out of NATO (they’ve not been much help, anyway), let them join the axis of evil with their buddies the Iranians. Good luck, and Good Riddance to them.

      1. They help rein in the Russians and many of the Turkish people are very pro-American. It would be somewhat like judging America by the Obama admin.

        But yeah, screw him.

  2. This should be our response in most cases of heavily oppressed minorities: instead of sending in US troops, just drop in small arms and ammo – and maybe some TOW missiles, depending on how the powerful are armed – along with native-language instructions and let the minority defend itself. It doesn’t have to be a fair fight – it only takes one or two bloody noses for bullies to back off.

We have seen it repeatedly through recent history; when only one side in a conflict has any meaningful arms, holocausts happen.

  3. We need to do more than arm the Kurds, we need to give them their rightful nation state. Pieces of that state are now in the hands of other nations. Two of them are Syria and Iran. Both should be conquered and occupied by the U.S., then dismembered. The new Kurdistan should get some of those pieces. The rest should come from the roughly northern third of Iraq. As the Iraqi government does not exercise effective sovereignty in Iraqi Kurdistan anyway, it should be agreeable to this if we give them two or three of the Iranian oil provinces in trade. We need a second reliable ally in the Middle East. We have the opportunity to stand one up. We should take that opportunity.
