  1. The govt. classifies some thing as fast/track/slow track (I’ve been on both.). These kids just got on the slow track.

  2. NASA appears listless now, and that may continue after the NSC is formed. Even if the NSC puts NASA on a good track, it is still burning time before it gets us there. I guess that is unavoidable but these delays add up and they are brutal in the long run because lead times of doing anything in space are so long.

The national mood and urgency could change when China starts its lunar missions. Yes, they are plodding along but are keeping a steady pace. The American system can compete, if it is allowed to. Hopefully, the creativity and energy of the American people are unleashed before we go from treading water to falling behind.

NASA is always concerned with pushing the limits of technology but it would be nice if we could take stock of what we can do right now with the technology available to us, with minimal pushing of technological boundaries. And they should commission the building of multiple things instead of one offs.

  3. Well, I see diversity amongst the class, so there is that. Congratulations NASA on that accomplishment! Well perhaps… Did any of them identify as gender fluid? Oh….

Nice spiffy cardboard replica of… of… sorry, replica suggests it is replicating something else that preceded it. Nice spiffy cardboard fantasy spacecraft! Woohoo! That is awesome. I never had a treehouse or camping tent that looked that good.

  4. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Quatar as our Muslim outreach ambassadors.

Aside: Latest follies electionare from the UK: Broopsit!

  5. One of the new astronauts made the move from SpaceX to NASA. That strikes me as a step down. Had he stayed with SpaceX, he’d probably get into space faster.
