Earlier, wodun noted, “One redaction of note, at the top of page 3, the number and identities of people being spied on is blacked out.” I saw mentioned elsewhere that if you look closely at the black box in “sub-inquiries into [redacted] individuals”, you can make out what appears to be the top, right portion of the letter “r”, suggesting that the number is “four”.

    The redaction in the next paragraph also appears to end in “r”, though it is too long for the single word “four”. I think the most likely reconstruction is, “…the FBI had already opened sub-inquiries into [four] individuals linked to the Trump campaign: [redacted person one, redacted person two, redacted person three,] and former campaign foreign policy advisor Carter Page. As Committee testimony bears out, the FBI would have continued its investigation, including against [the four] individuals, even if it had never received information from Steele, …”

    So who are the other three?

  2. It’s all that we thought it would be: obfuscation to provide a talking point. Otherwise, Sara Carter does have the refutation point by point.
