  1. “Strzok and Page didn’t just hate Congress; they despised it.”

    So do I. *shrug*

    1. Same here but that doesn’t give the top people in law enforcement the right to ignore the very foundation of our country by intentionally subverting the separation of powers and congressional oversight.

There have been a lot of examples lately of abuse of redactions, where things weren’t redacted to protect national security but to cover crimes committed by the intelligence community and the Obama administration.

    2. Congress has largely earned the contempt and opprobrium in which most people hold it.

They won’t pass real budgets. They just kick the can down the road with omnibus spending bills.
They don’t impeach rogue judges who make up law on the fly.
They refuse to exercise oversight on the regulatory agencies which they themselves created. They have the power to defund or abolish those agencies, but they never do.

They have voluntarily neutered themselves. No 1933-style “Enabling Act” was necessary. We the People no longer have representation in the federal government. That’s the most frightening thing.

  2. I’ve waited a few days for this take. Hell no! McCabe shouldn’t get immunity. He should be referred for giving a false statement and face 5 years in jail for each infraction. Let him plead down for as easier sentence. It’s is what Mueller’s doing. Apparently the FBI thinks this tactic works, so time for them to experience it.
