    1. I read those too back then- Orbital Decay, Lunar Descent, The Labyrinth of Night. Great fun.

Just bought Blue Collar Space on Kindle but got a couple of pages in and got distracted by an old Poul Anderson “Corridors of Time”.

Agreed..I read Science Fiction for just that type; kinda fella away from reading it as it came to be dominated by the various “new wave” or whatever they call it; to much socialist bs. Don’t much care for the matrix type movies/book either. Wonder if you know of any contemporary writers who write like Steele used to? Would think with all the Elon Musk Space X mars colony Bezos stuff on the horizon it would inspire new writers to write along those lines.

  1. Sort of related:

Another successful Space-X launch and it hardly gets mentioned.

    Good thing.

    1. A successful launch isn’t news anymore. They’ll only make the news now if they have a failure or pass a milestone: first crewed mission, first fully recovered spacecraft, first BFR launch, first BFR passenger flight, etc.

That’s my point, Ed though I would add that a successful recovery of the 1st stage isn’t news either.
