The best part of all, this doesn’t even threaten the US. It has some economic impact, and we have allies we are willing to protect. However, this is mostly going to be an Arab/Persian war; if Iran keeps trying to push it.
The US currently doesn’t have a carrier in the Med, Red Sea, Persian Gulf, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean. Not that one is needed, because there are land based aircraft all over the Arabian Peninsula.
