In this case, it falls apart because many Democrats already think the government acts this way toward their constituents and that social justice demands that other groups will not realize this until they are made to suffer. There is a promise that after their enemies are made to suffer that we can finally solve these problems but much like utopia, these promises are never meant to be achieved.
