My Lawsuit

It’s now been two years since we requested an en banc rehearing of our case before the D.C. Court of Appeals. Meanwhile, twenty-four news organizations have filed amici on our behalf. I actually knew about this a few weeks ago, but decided to link this when Anthony’s site noted it.

[Afternoon update]

Here is the original report, which has several misquotes and misattributions (e.g., it misspells “warm mongers” and attributes some of my words to Mark Steyn).

  1. So you’re an “adjunct analyst” (or were in 2012). I had to look up the formal definition of “adjunct” (google wasn’t any help; I have no interest in whatever an “adjunct analgesic” is). Was that really your title?
BTW, “Duane” over there in comments is a hoot.

This seems related (or related to a recent post here anyway).

Even if nuclear power were clean, safe, economic, assured of ample fuel, and socially benign,” said the god head of renewables, Amory Lovins, in 1977, “it would still be unattractive because of the political implications of the kind of energy economy it would lock us into.”
What kind of an energy economy would that be, exactly? A prosperous, clean, and high-energy one. “If you ask me, it’d be little short of disastrous for us to discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy because of what we would do with it,” explained Lovins.

Nuclear energy: terrifying the fans of “renewables” for almost a half a century.

  2. “If you ask me, it’d be little short of disastrous for us to discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy because of what we would do with it,” explained Lovins.

A number of space advocates over the years have insisted that common cause could be made with environmentalists to push space solar power as a source of “green” energy. The above quote shows why this is a pipe dream.

  3. If the original suit made it to trial, it will be interesting to figure out how the plaintiff was actually injured, other than by countersuits.

  4. Have you been approached to contribute to Volume Two of Steyn’s series, _A Disgrace to the Profession_ ?
