  1. Agreed. Not smart for GWB to vocalize that sentiment, either. I wonder what else was in that bill that he wanted badly enough to sign it.

  2. Rand, I disagree with you on the ease of Impeachment. However, my opinion is moot. Impeachment is now as simple as a House majority passing a resolution or bill. Indeed, this second Articles of Impeachment against Trump was a slight and poorly done rewrite of the House resolution insisting Pence exercise the 25th Amendment against Trump. [because you see, Trump was out of his mind and therefore Pence should remove him from office, but when Pence didn’t, then Trump was of sound mind and capable of calculating the precise words of “peacefully march” to an incitement of insurrection]

Besides lowering the bar for Impeachment. The bar for what constitutes violent speech is now lower. Lindsey Graham is already pointing out that VP Harris should be impeached for her words this summer. I’m thinking HS cheerleaders across the country should also be arrested for suggesting their team “fight like hell”.

Part of this obviously tongue in cheek, but while we can perhaps raise the bar back to allow Freedom of Speech (since Trump was not convicted). We can’t undue the bar being lowered as to what is impeachable.

    1. It shouldn’t be what it has become under Democrats but a little tit for tat might get them to knock off this progressive fascist crap.

  3. One of the few examples where I think the British system is better than ours is this: “Vote of no confidence”. If the legislature loses faith in the PM, after discussion and debate a vote of no confidence passing means an election usually quickly follows. Which means both (PM & Parliament) have to face the electorate. Too bad we can’t do the same; if Nancy and Chuck both think Trump is “crazy”, “Russian spy”, we just don’t like him, etc. call for another election for both Prez and Congress. Just wishing I guess short of a Constitutional Convention being called no way Congress would allow for such a thing.
