I’m not a Christian, or even a theist, but people who think we’ve evolved much in two thousand years are fooling themselves, as we can see on a daily basis in the “modern” Middle East. Civilization can have a very thin veneer, particularly when people don’t understand the basis for it, and reject it.

The Clintons and the acceptance by the Democrats (and media) of their criminality and corruption in the nineties determined me to never support a candidate of that party again. I wrote about “that nineties show” a couple years ago.

Let them defend themselves. As Glenn notes, the proper response of the Jews in the thirties, rather than handing in their guns, would have been no-limit open hunting season on Nazis.
