As the state continues to hemorrhage jobs and businesses, Jerry Brown is doubling down on the fiscal insanity.

Bill Whittle’s latest Firewall is up. Yours truly is paraphrased.
It is seeming exceedingly unlikely that the president was unaware of the “guns for drug lords” program in Mexico. But the media continues to ignore it, or attack the investigators.
I agree that Michele Bachmann’s pledge to reduce gas prices to two bucks a gallon is both unrealistic, and unconservative.
Sorry, no, it does not compel it.
An illuminating post. For the record, I don’t think that jobs can be created that well by a chief executive. But they can be destroyed, or prevented from being created, and the president has been doing that with a vengeance since he took office (before, in fact, with his campaign rhetoric).
Better late than never. “Never” is when I suspect we’ll get anything similar from much of the American left.
The president makes no apologies for being reasonable. Well, he doesn’t apologize for things he’s actually done, either. Similarly, I make no apologies for being a Democrat.

Here are some other things for which I am completely unapologetic, from my Twitter feed:
I make no apologies for thinking that Harry Reid is the greatest statesman in history.
I make no apologies for making Paris Hilton famous.
I make no apologies for thinking that the president is reasonable, and the adult in the room.
I make no apologies for the assassination of the only president to have it almost as tough as Barack Obama: Abraham Lincoln.
I make no apologies for being unable to make fun of the president’s arrogance and pomposity.
I make no apologies for kicking Chuck Norris’s ass.
I make no apologies for having voted for Barack Obama.
I make no apologies for causing Hurricane Katrina.
I make no apologies for being Mary Queen of Scots.

Actually, while it is socially acceptable among leftists to be bigots against Christians (and southerners), Tea Party members are fair game, too.
It should be just as socially unacceptable to wear a hammer and sickle, or Mao jacket, or Che tee shirt, as it is to wear a swastika.

Yes, I know the piece is a couple years old. It’s worth reposting, though, given the proximity of the fiftieth anniversary of the Wall being erected.
