Bill Clinton’s Blog

That’s right, you read it correctly. It’s been going since last summer.

I don’t (quite) think that it’s real, but it’s a pretty good impression of what one would look like. Here’s one early entry:

The dragon lady just called. She’ll be home tomorrow. She reminded me she had asked me to look through some legal papers for her senate commission. I really don’t want to do that. Damn. I just can’t get myself to do it. Not today. I’ll have to make up some excuse tomorrow. I know she’ll look at me with that “You let me down again” look. Yeah, yeah, shut up.

Chelsea called. Still with that curly head with his fake politeness.

I’ll deal with her tomorrow. Hillary, that is. I mean I just finished a book of more than 900 pages. She could’ve been a bit more considerate towards me.

A New NASA Administrator

It’s apparently going to be Mike Griffin. Mike is a sharp guy technically (probably the best in that regard in NASA history, if he’s confirmed), but I think that this is good news/bad news. I’ll explain why later, but I’m swamped right now.

More Foul Deeds

Now Chief Pants-on-Fire is being accused of plagiarism, and threats to the woman whose paper he plagiarized:

Dalhousie began an investigation after professor Fay G. Cohen complained that Churchill used her research and writing in an essay without her permission and without giving her credit. Although the investigation substantiated her allegations, Cohen didn’t pursue the matter because she felt threatened by Churchill, Crosby said.

Crosby said Cohen told Dalhousie officials in 1997 that Churchill had called her in the middle of the night and said, “I’ll get you for this.”

This happened over eight years ago, with no repercussions until now.

Giving him a buyout would be a travesty. The money would be much better spent defending any lawsuit that he attempts to bring, should the university finally do the right thing, and boot him out on the street. And the people who continue to defend him should be ashamed of themselves.

EU About To Implode?

The Dutch are having their doubts:

The Government has announced that a referendum on the constitution will take place on June 1. It will be the first time that Dutch citizens are asked what they think of the EU.

While international attention has been focused on the French referendum, just three days earlier on May 29, the Dutch are far more likely to slam on the brakes of the constitutional juggernaut. Polls in France still show a majority in favour of the constitution, but the Government in The Hague has been shocked to find that a majority of its citizens are opposed, and by no small margin.

A recent poll was telling. It showed that 42 per cent of Dutch would choose to vote
