The virus has not suspended the laws of economics.
Hollywood’s “Trump Is Hitler” “Argument”
It’s even more pathetic now. We joke about TDS, but they really are deranged.
A Vaccine Is Coming
…and it will work.
But not in time to prevent everything that’s happening right now.
Also, a cure is in the works, but again, not soon enough to prevent all the economic destruction.
Faster, please.
[Update a few minutes later]
Did the virus originate in a Chinese lab, and why is it crazy to ask?
I don’t think it is, which is not to say that I (yet) believe it did.
[Update a while later]
Ignoring the rant at the end, I wonder if this is for real?

I take it somewhat seriously because Patricia had it done to prepare her for a surgery a few months ago, and it did seem to help. It only costs a hundred bucks or so (she paid out of pocket), but I don’t know how capable we are of ramping it up.
[Update late morning]
How permanent will the changes to the healthcare industry be?
Some of the regulatory relief should certainly remain. I expect to see a lot more telemedicine, which is all to the good.
[Bumped from earlier]
[Afternoon update]
A new flu inhibitor? Unfortunately, while promising, it too won’t help with the current crisis.
Lessons From NYC
Build the equipment needed, not what you think you can invent.
Bodice Rippers For Andy
This is sort of amazing. And it’s not April Fool’s stuff; these women are probably fools year around.
[Update a few minutes later]
Cuomo is no hero, but moron De Blasio prepared for the wrong emergency (which was in fact in no way an emergency).
“Teachers”
…urge government to reopen schools quickly, before students learn to think for themselves.
[Update a couple minutes later]
Under the circumstances, though I have in the past, I’m not doing an April 1st post this year, but the Bee steps up to the plate.
[Update Thursday afternoon]
We are all homeschoolers now.
This is going to have a huge impact on education, and for the better.
Mike Lindell
I knew instantly as I was listening to him at the presser yesterday that he was going to trigger leftist loons, and so he did.
[Late Wednesday-morning update]
Mike Lindell is the hero, not Alcindor.
[Bumped]
Conservatism
It’s time to get our fiscal house in order.
And no, reforming conservatism should not include embracing the New Deal.
On that last link, I hadn’t been aware that Conrad Black is an admirer of FDR. That’s disappointing.
[April 1st update]
Conrad Black responds.
[Bumped]
The First CoronaVirus Movie
…is already here, and you’ll never guess what it’s called.
Free-Market Health Care
How would it respond to the virus?
It’s been many decades since there’s been anything resembling a free market in this country’s health care, other than things like Lasik.
[Update a few minutes later]
Speaking of (lack of) free markets, restaurants in Los Angeles are being shut down for selling groceries without a license.
Government seems determined to put business out of business.
