  1. This is so far around the bend that this is the first I’ve even heard of this theory, and the election took place a month ago now.

The idea that the blogger/webmaster “will not drop this until final proof is given” is certainly bordering on PDS, rather than BDS, even though Palin didn’t make it into the White House.

I wonder if that blogger would complain about the same trait in people with regards to Obama’s nationality status, and still miss the irony.

  2. I do not see why this should surprize anyone – these are the same folks who will stand wild-eyed in front of you with spittle hanging from their lips claiming Elvis is alive, UFO’s land here on a regular basis and that Mars is covered in forests (but NASA is “covering it up”).

Everyone on the left is desperate for their 15 mins of fame – it’s a self-pepetuating cycle as they refer each other to their websites for page-views and ad revenue.

Give them enough time and they will delude themselves into a libel/slander lawsuit – just watch.

  3. It all goes to show that if you’re ever so foolish as to utter the magic words “Oh come on! Nobody could be that bloody stupid!” then the human race has a little surprise waiting for you.

  4. it seems no weirder then the theories being
    floated about Obama’s Birth Certificate.

The difference is that whether or not Barack Obama is eligible to be president actually matters.

Aren’t you a little embarrassed to be posting to the Intertubes on a computer without a shift key, and looking like a cretin each time?

  5. If you are going to discuss fringe conspiracy theories,
about the birth certificate of the president elect
shouldn’t you be giving equal play to the “Murder”
    of vince foster?

Certainly given the allegations made about his “Suicide”,
doesn’t it matter that the “Killer” is being proposed for
    Secretary of State?

  6. It has a shift key; it’s just that it is pressed at Inappropriate Times, apparently.

That whole site was just, um, depressing. First, that someone could care that much about Palin’s personal life when they don’t know her is fairly pathetic. (It’s also yet more evidence that people who say “the personal is political” really mean that “the political is personal.”) Second, the displays of illogic, vitriol and pettiness are amazing to behold. And third, the number of commenters of the same stripe is simply sad.

And yeah, I am betting that the blogger and every single one of his sycophantic commenters are simply appalled at the way “the Right” treated Bill Clinton (and his since-proven actual lies, deceptions and misrepresentations), and will be equally stricken at any criticism of Barack Obama (even on policy grounds), and at the same time will utterly fail to see the hypocrisy in that combination of positions.

  7. If you are going to discuss fringe conspiracy theories, about the birth certificate of the president elect shouldn’t you be giving equal play to the “Murder” of vince foster?

It’s Vince Foster, Mr. Drooler. Have a little respect for the dead.

And it’s old news. Over fifteen years old.

Discussions about Senator Obama’s constitutional eligibility are extremely topical, given that he will be elected president in less than two weeks.

Certainly given the allegations made about his “Suicide”, doesn’t it matter that the “Killer” is being proposed for Secretary of State?

Discussions of whether or not Vince Foster committed suicide, or committed suicide where the official reports declared him to have done so, are completely separate from who might have killed him, Mr. Drooler.

  8. I think this has nothing to do with “The Left”.

The Palin’s Deception blog seems apolitical to me – almost no mention of Obama on the site at all, and certainly no mention of politics. It seems likely to me that when the author is done with Palin, she’ll move on to obsessing about some other celebrity. Any future interest in Obama and his family might be based on Obama’s ceremonial/celebrity role as head of state. In other words, if this was the UK, her interest would be focused on the Royal Family, not the prime minister.

Y’know, I’m going to leave the above comment, but I just went to the site’s home page, and the author explains why she is doing it. She says “I am a childbirth labor coach, a published author in the childbirth field, and a lactation consultant.” In other words, she is a geek. Just as some of us are geeky about rockets and computers, she is geeky about pregnancy.

  9. Comment #9 followup. I’ve been using the name “Bob” but I just realized someone else used that name in comment #2. Different Bob. I’m sorry about that.

I think that you’re deluding yourself. Read the comments.

    Yeah, what Rand said.

Because on the internet people who post comments are ALWAYS truthful about their true identities . . .

In other news, the decision of Florida’s GOP Senator to not seek re-election followed by the floating of a trial balloon named John Ellis Bush suggests that not all Republicans are as enamored of Sarah Palin as the saviour of the Republican Party.

Anyone on the Left who is afraid of Sarah Palin is a moron. That said, there are plenty of morons on the Left, and elsewhere.

    Film at 11.

So, instead of saying Push!@ she must say, [Picard]”Engage!”[/Picard]

  12. “And it’s old news. Over fifteen years old.”

I’m not sure why it was being discussed last year then?
If this is a murder, the statute of limitations, never expires.
this appears to be a murder you are very interested in, and
this is in your opinion linked to the clintons.

Given the number of allegations of criminality you have made
about the clintons, and her nomination to the cabinet, it appears
at least as timely as Obama birth certificate foo-faw.

I still don’t understand the theory of the birth certificate conspiracy.
What’s the story being sold by you. is he an american citizen?

  13. this appears to be a murder you are very interested in, and this is in your opinion linked to the clintons.

I am interested in it, because I consider it an unsolved crime. It is obviously linked to the Clintons in that he was a close confidant. Who actually killed him will never be known, unless someone confesses, because the evidence was so badly compromised from the beginning.

I still don’t understand the theory of the birth certificate conspiracy.

Yes, there’s much you don’t understand.

What’s the story being sold by you.

I’m not “selling” any story, as anyone capable of comprehending simple English would know.

    is he an american citizen?

How would I know? He won’t show his original birth certificate. But the issue isn’t whether or not he’s an American citizen (he almost certainly is). It is whether or not he’s a natural born citizen, and eligible to be president. And I don’t know the answer to that question. If you want to know, go ask him to release the original document, as others are doing. The other question is, if the certificate does show Hawaii as his place of birth, what is he spending millions of dollars on legal fees to continue hiding?

  14. If the Clintons actually were involved in the murder of Vince Foster, couldn’t they have obliterated Obama’s political campaign – easily enough – in January 2008 by using this same birth certificate argument?

It would have been so easy for Hillary to say,

“Barack Obama would make a terrific President, but just like Arnold the Governator and Madeline Albright he simply isn’t eligible.

Too bad, so sad. Vote for me.”

  15. If the Clintons actually were involved in the murder of Vince Foster, couldn’t they have obliterated Obama’s political campaign – easily enough – in January 2008 by using this same birth certificate argument?

They could have done it even if they weren’t involved in the murder of Vince Foster…

I suspect that the answer is that he is eligible to be president, but that there’s something else on the certificate that he doesn’t want us to see (e.g., he has a different biological father than he claims). I’m just curious why he’s spending so much money to keep anyone from seeing it, because it would certainly quell the controversy (assuming that there isn’t something even more controversial).

  16. “I am interested in it, because I consider it an unsolved crime. It is obviously linked to the Clintons in that he was a close confidant. Who actually killed him will never be known,”

So why did you call it old news?

  17. This really is stupid crankery. There are very few liberals who believe the story that Palin wasn’t the mother of that particular child. It’s especially stupid since there are so many other things to dislike about Palin, eg, the fact that she thinks creationism should be taught in biology classes as some kind of alternative science.

  18. “So why did you call it old news?

Because it happened over fifteen years ago.”

So why were you making it a matter of discussion in 2007?

  19. So why were you making it a matter of discussion in 2007?

    Why not?

What an idiotic question. Sometimes I discuss things that happened millions of years ago, if I find them interesting.
