By me, it’s weird that the very same people who bitch about the evils of monopoly power — about Microsoft, Big Oil, et cetera — are those who put their faith in an even more gigantic monopoly power with the power of prison at its command, i.e. government.
If you think Exxon is obnoxiously arrogant, and doesn’t give a damn what you think, exploits you — imagine Exxon with the power to compel you at the point of a gun to buy their products, or do anything else that comes to their mind. Sound like fun? Then vote Democratic!
It’s a wonder the little logical self-consistency fuse inside their toy brains doesn’t go fzzt! But I suppose they shorted it long ago, or maybe the cheap model of brain doesn’t come with one.
