Infrastructure Change!

Apparently, Barack Obama is Bush III:

The economic stimulus signed by President Barack Obama will spread billions of dollars across the country to spruce up aging roads and bridges. But there’s not a dime specifically dedicated to fixing leftover damage from Hurricane Katrina.

And there’s no outrage about it.

Democrats who routinely criticized President George W. Bush for not sending more money to the Gulf Coast appear to be giving Obama the benefit of the doubt in his first major spending initiative. Even the Gulf’s fiercest advocates say they’re happy with the stimulus package, and their states have enough money for now to address their needs.

I guess that Barack Obama hates black people.

  1. You have to realize that there are no longer many black people living in New Orleans. All of the construction jobs needed to rebuild New Orleans would go to Mexican immigrants, who would then make up a substantial proportion of New Orlean’s population following its rebuilding. When Nagen, the current mayor, complained about this issue, the only answer he received was, “Do not rebuild it”.

  2. If another Katrina-scale catastrophe occurs during the next three years and change, having the same impact on black people, how much you want to bet it gets blamed, not on Obama or any executive-branch agency, but on Rush Limbaugh?

  3. McGehee: you forget, given he is the ultimate evil mastermind/clumsy bumbler, everything is de facto Bush’s fault until the next Republican is elected President.

  4. Who needs money when we are all inspired by Obama’s kind eyes and encouraging smile.

Or, is it the eyes that are encouraging and the smile kind? I can never remember.
