Down Six Points In A Month

The president continues to drop in popularity:

How bad has Barack Obama’s decline at the polls become? Even CBS has finally realized it. Both approval and disapproval numbers have moved sharply over the last month, and in the wrong direction, as voters have discovered that Obama hasn’t a clue about the economy and creating jobs.

There was never a single reason, to anyone with a lick of economic sense, to think that Barack Obama knew the first thing about job creation. He had no experience with it in his life up to that point, and most of his chosen mentors and associates have been Marxists and other economic ignorami. Now that he’s validating those of us who were always skeptical, the rest of the rubes are catching on as well. And even CBS, with its skewed poll, can’t deny it any more.

  1. No experience with creating jobs? The man has hardly any experience with FINDING or WORKING in jobs.

  2. The following statement made by Obama earlier today should help his poll numbers: “My expectation is that we will probably continue to see unemployment tick up for several months.”

My, he has certainly changed his tune from a short while ago when he was ramming his pork ridden stimulus bill through congress. Given that only 12% to 15% of the money has been spent so far and it hasn’t stimulated squat, wouldn’t it be nice if they would consider rescinding the rest of the spending.

  3. Given that only 12% to 15% of the money has been spent so far and it hasn’t stimulated squat

Actually, the delay is probably helping the economy. A cancellation would help confidence, but at least we still have the money … for now.

  4. We need to get rid of the RINOs that voted for the stimulus as well. The Dems need to fully own this. They will still be able to point out that Bush started this. Never would have happened under Reagan.

  5. The man has hardly any experience with FINDING or WORKING in jobs.

He’s found and worked in a number of different jobs: an office job in New York, two community organizer jobs in Chicago, at least two positions at law firms in Chicago, and a teaching job at the University of Chicago.

I’m not much younger than Obama and I’ve only had three jobs since college.

So when you’re still hungry after eating one eighth of your dinner, you send the rest back and ask for a refund?

  7. We need to get rid of the RINOs that voted for the stimulus as well.

Please do! They’re more than welcome to join Specter on the Dem of the aisle.

  8. So when you’re still hungry after eating one eighth of your dinner, you send the rest back and ask for a refund?

So when you can’t make a rationale response, you build straw men?

  9. So when you’re still hungry after eating one eighth of your dinner, you send the rest back and ask for a refund?

Well, I look at it more of drinking one can of a six pack, going BLECK, and returning the other five cans because you know they’ll taste like cr*p as well.

  10. “So when you’re still hungry after eating one eighth of your dinner, you send the rest back and ask for a refund?”

Yes, when the rest of the dinner won’t be served until the next two days and I am starving, by all means I am going to ask for a refund, go to a grocery store to buy some bread and cheese and deli meat, and eat something.

  11. So when you’re still hungry after eating one eighth of your dinner, you send the rest back and ask for a refund?

What a monumentally stupid analogy. Even for you.

They’re more than welcome to join Specter on the Dem of the aisle.

I suspect that one way or another, Benedict Arlen’s remaining days as a Senator are numbered in the low hundreds.

  12. We need to get rid of the RINOs that voted for the stimulus as well.

The other day the RNCC called me asking for their annual donation. I told them that when they march the eight RINO’s who voted for Cap & Trade in the House to the back of the capital and execute them then I just might consider donating again. Needless to say, I’m not holding my breath.

  13. two community organizer jobs in Chicago, at least two positions at law firms in Chicago, and a teaching job at the University of Chicago.

The Zero! moved to Chicago to learn to be “authentic” and succeeded. Once He got hooked into the Chicago machine politics, He “found” those “jobs” because they were handed to Him by the Machine. And that includes the U of C jobs for both Him and the missus. (The latter a job so important that they canceled it the moment she didn’t need it.)

  14. Jim,
go back and check. He never “found” a job, they came looking for him, and I’m not talking about networking. And just what is he did in these jobs? I keep reading blurbs like yours about his work record, but with no substance. As far as I can find, his jobs were all just like his move from Congress to the WH, take the job, look to move on, then, move on.

And his jobs mostly consisted of doing what he’s done at the national level, working at self promotion. Or working at promoting anti-American, anti-business, anti-personal freedom programs. Jim you can spin this anyway you wish, for a guy his age, he’s done little and created less. I can’t find where he’s created anything, but his own image.

And if your his age and you’ve only had three jobs, your outside the norm too. Of course, there are those of us here, who were already of that opinion.

  15. Obama has had jobs like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have had jobs. Ferraro was correct.

  16. Have No fear we out of the recession at least that what newsweek is reporting, citing people saying leading indicators are up.

Already seeing members of the cult citing leading indicators. Wonder if they call it jobless like last time when the jobs don’t come back.

  17. He never “found” a job, they came looking for him

That’s true of some of them, but not all, and is hardly a criticism of Obama’s competence.

Perhaps the President is the recipient of a series of social promotions?

Yeah, Harvard Law School gave him magna cum laude to get rid of him.

    Ferraro was correct.

So you think John Edwards had a more impressive resume in 2004 than Obama did in 2008? Or do you just have different standards for white men?

It’s amusing to watch the cognitive dissonance on display when people try to reconcile their certainty that Obama must be a fraud with the actual evidence.

  18. Well, I wasn’t impressed with John Edwards, either, but he had at least established a successful legal business that made him a fortune before his term in the Senate. Of course, his legal business consisted mostly of ambulance chasing and suing doctors and hospitals (thereby raising the cost of medical care for all of us), but he was at least good enough at it to market himself and to win his cases in court. We might not like what he accomplished, but at least he could point to a record of accomplishments.

Obama can point to titles of jobs held, but his track record in those positions is harder to discern, and in fact, even when the Boston Globe looked into his years as a community organizer, they found no actual accomplishments. Likewise, the New Yorker found he used sleazy Chicago cronies to get his political opponents knocked off the ballot so he could run for the Illinois Senate and later the U.S. Senate.

  19. It’s amusing to watch the cognitive dissonance on display when people try to reconcile their certainty that Obama must be a fraud with the actual evidence.

Indeed, the argument is that Obama doesn’t have knowledge of creating jobs because he has never created jobs in the private sector. Yet Jim keeps arguing that he earned his jobs. Getting a job isn’t the same as creating a job.
