Here are a bunch of wet-glass photos from the Civil War. It helps bring history to life. Tomorrow, one of the things that we can give thanks for is that we haven’t gone through such a national catastrophe since. Let’s hope we never do.

Since moving to Maryland, I’ve gained a renewed appreciation for Civil War history. Many of the major battlegrounds are within just a few hours’ drive. This inspires me to visit more of them than I have.
