  1. Thanks to our electoral system, the Tea Partiers don’t need to be a majority of the population – just a majority of primary-voting Republicans and enough independents to tip the fall elections.

Considering the results of the Republican primaries, I’d say “we’re there” in many States already, and making incredible progress in others.

  2. Come on–the Ruling Class lie to us? Never happen; never will. Just because someone makes a living through legalized looting is no reason to think they’re dishonest.

  3. What to do about those that just refuse to get it, but are by some measures reasonably intelligent people? There are a lot of them, some commenting on this blog. They’re arguments are always the same, disregarding the big picture to focus on some aspect they see as a win. Theft and debt has no impact on them.

Add to these tons of useful idiots demanding ‘rights’ that are not and the end of a democracy are in sight. November should be a huge correction, but I fear we are overlooking the machinations of the left and how it will play out.

NY23 was very revealing in the the Republican and tea party candidate split the vote giving it to the Democrat, but more telling is the R supporting the D over the T.

Looking at NV, Angle does not seem to know how to articulate her positions and is being labeled an extremist. Reid should have lost that race in a landslide but now looks to be extremely close. As Franken and the state of WA should have shown us, a close loss is the same as a win for Democrats.

Regardless of November, we’ve still got two more years of Obama, killing job and taking more control, adding debt, appointing more judges and czars while still having establishment RINOs destroying our liberty.

Then we have to be afraid of success. There’s a lot of work to be done, but a little success may cause that to be forgotten.

I need be slapped with a good dose of optimism, please.

The saying “He who robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul” applies here. If you’re a net taker (majority parasite), you’re going to support policies that give you more free stuff. That group makes up a significant percentage of the US population.

  5. “If you’re a net taker (majority parasite), you’re going to support policies that give you more free stuff.”

Maybe this is the “conservative” version of a major liberal fallacy.

My momma once told me that “free TV” is not really free as you end up paying for the shows on TV every time you buy the products they feature in the commercials.

What people forget is that the economy is a highly inter-connected inter-dependent eco-system and that costs of things get passed along. As a low income person, you may not experience certain taxes directly, say, the tax on corporate dividends, but you experience those taxes indirectly, through prices paid on essentials and general standard of living.

So maybe people have the mistaken impression that they can be net takers and get lots of free stuff, but in the end, the stuff isn’t free, even to the po’ people.
