  1. Apparently Mr. Obama wants to offer an olive branch to the business community in the form of his support for the repeal of that “report all transactions over $600 on a 1099”, conceding that it is an onerous regulation and potential job killer.

Oh Chris, did you convince me the 1099 reports were no big deal because all B-T-B small-dollar transactions are on corporate credit cards these days, and that the credit company took care of all the reporting? Chris, please call your office.

  2. As a moderate, I believe DHMO should not be banned, but it should be closely regulated. I recommend a new Cabinet department, abbreviated DoDhmo, headed by an official, abbreviated SecWat. See this source for historical precedent.

  3. I get that the rally was ‘about’ comedy…but WHY did they dress up as a pointy headed Hitler, a Werewolf, and a dead chipmunk type, beret wearing, Che Murderero character?!!

I did like the Prop 19 guy though. Since Cheech and Chong split up, and then George Carlin and Mitch Hedburg died, it’s hard to find drug oriented comedy!

BTW, Hitler, Werewolf, and dead chipmunk Che girl, get some help.

  4. Heh, Paul. Obama must not be talking to the right people. I must admit to growing a bit tired of the “support” position. Obama wants to support roll back of the 1099 mess? I’d rather he had done something about it over the past 8 or so months.

  5. Tommy Chong was never as zoned out as that long-haired guy

    Paul,

Olive branches were mentioned at Malkin’s place, and I left this comment moments ago: “A Democrat olive branch is about as honest as a get well card from a strain of salmonella.”

  6. The woman in the red shirt who started with, “You people,,,” is the one person I want most to see this. Ignorance, petard, hoist. If we were neighbors, she’d have to build a Palin fence.

  7. I feel so dumb. I don’t even know where “Island” is. Is it the 57th state? And what is Paul Krugman doing taking pictures from behind the big redheaded kid?

  8. Funny, I just tried clicking on the video and I get a message about it being “private”. Now all the links I can find via Google lead to the same thing, including the original on YouTube. I wonder why this was yanked….

  9. yanked… whatever

It’s telling me I need to accept a friends request. I draw the line at… that zukerberg.

  10. I’m not going to mention just how many folk, including the prof, in my public speaking class way back when I had in an absolute tizzy over the life-threatening perils of DiHydrogen Monoxide, aka Hydrogen Hydroxide. Dryer than a Churchillian martini, my wit is, half of it, anyway.

  11. It’s not news that DMHO is bad news, even the classical Japanese poets said so!!

    In summer, water
    Di Hydrogen Mon oxide,
    frozen, slippery, uh oh.
