  1. Tried to read it. Couldn’t. Too bored. I just don’t care about the New York Times any more. Why can’t it just go out of business already? Here’s a thing: why don’t we quit talking about the New York Times — and the Washington Post, and the Butte Herald New-Reader-Leader, and all the other “trad” papers that are printed on paper by news orgs that are run on the old model that isn’t just pre-computer, it’s pre-television — as if they are still important and what they say matters? Every time someone writes a long, involved article on the “future demise of the NYT” it’s like giving a vampire another vein to tap. Stop feeding the vampire. Put the stake of no-one-cares through its heart and let it turn to dust in the sun and blow away.

It’s a new day. We have the internet now. We don’t have to wait for a reporter to write a column to find out about something. We can just go to the source, or write about it ourselves.

  2. Some of it I GOT, some of it I didn’t. I don’t read that as a usual course nor any other newspaper, so with the NYT (much like SNL) I’m not “NY enough” to get it.

I like MY hometown rag. All the news that’s fit to ignore!!
