  1. Is this one of them guys that “feminists” would give a BJ to for supporting “womens’ rights?”

  2. Not that I’m advocating any such thing, but perhaps he’ll be on the receiving side should he end up (no pun intended) in a real American prison. Of course, that wouldn’t happen even if he is convicted. He’d be sentenced to minimum time in the most minimum security prison in the country.

I guess this is Rand’s party and he can do what he wants, but the general idea is that this site is for the meeting of the minds of people with a general space advocacy as well as political Libertarian orientation.

There is such a thing as presumption of innocence, but if this man acted as the creep he is alleged to be, he should be punished with the full force of the law. Hotel workers should not be in fear of assault for entering a guest’s room in order to do their assigned work.

But what are we around here now, the Taliban? That a man is accused, and I emphasize accused — I have no reason to doubt the hotel employee, but the man is entitled to his day in court and to confront his accuser — and suddenly his just desserts is that he should be subject to a similar kind of assault as is rampant in our prisons among inmates and between guards and inmates in some cases, especially with women?

Is this the Libertarian view of law and punishment, that a person accused of sexual assault should get the same meted out to him by his fellow inmates? Is it the Libertarian view that it is somehow OK that sexual assault is out of control in our prisons?

Has anyone advocated that? Not here.

As far as I know, few people are more appalled by prison rape, and do more to try to end it, than libertarians.

I guess the words “even if he is convicted” escaped you. And I’m not advocating prison rape, but it happens quite frequently if the statistics are to be believed.

I’m afraid that it’s more likely that cousin DSK is guilty. He’s always been the black sheep of the K family…
