  1. If he didn’t know, then why isn’t he then leading the effort to prosecute those who did? I mean, this is a pretty bad abuse of power and obvious crime. If he’s an innocent man and prosecutor of wrong doers, then why not act like both?

  2. Nor do I believe Mr. Murdoch didn’t know what his reporters at News Corp. were doing. It will be interesting to see if Fox News gets pulled into the scandal. As one observer noted it’s the CEO’s job to know what is going on and to admit they don’t is an admission of major failure in leadership. That applies to Mr. Holder as well.

  3. If he didn’t know, release the records and say, “See, I didn’t know.” Rather than stonewall and convince everyone you do. Obama’s pardon list might out do Clinton’s for infamy.

  4. Well there is the video of a deputy attorney general saying they were directed by the president to expand their gunrunner program. There were also funds in the stimulus specifically for gunrunner. It was a multi-agency project (DEA, FBI, DHS, ATF) so it seems rather impossible that the heads of those agencies didn’t know about the program.

Now if Murdoch didn’t know about six or seven of his media companies conspiring with each other to implement a global hacking program, then it would be apples and apples. One tabloid acting like other British tabloids isn’t going to get tied to Fox News and the Wallstreet Journal and probably not to Murdoch either but we will see.
