The Stupidity Of The “Assault-Weapons” Ban

Part 2. Bob Owens calls it “silly,” but I’m going to go with “stupid.” And in some cases, even evil (see project “Fast and Furious,” in which it becomes clear that the federal government in this administration wants to make sure that criminals can get weapons, but that law-abiding citizens can’t, and then stonewall and cover up when they get caught in the act).

I particularly enjoyed this unintended consequence.

  1. I liked that the article pointed out one factor of the AW ban which so far has not got the attention it has deserved; the fact that the AW ban put more AW into the hands of the public instead of eliminating them.

The gun-control people are the best gun salesmen ever! A lot of people made a lot of money because of the panic the AW ban introduced into the stagnant gun market. And whole new industries sprang into action to fill the demand when importation of foreign AW were banned, as those new domestic companies manufactured complete rifles from parts that were still legal to import.
