What befuddles me more than anything else about the human condition is how there can be intelligent humans who dispute what Professor Allison says in this piece. The power of politicians and academics is the root of much evil in this world. Unbridled power wielded by the wealthy can also be a source of evil, which is why governments should enforce contracts and property ownership, but the temptation to spend the assets of others is what keeps us all in thrall to our political leadership, whose control and meddling in markets and currency games cause much evil to be empowered. The same cabal is behind the global warming scam as well, and millions are dead from that as a result of misappropriated resources.
