Why on earth would Carter endorse Mitzi? Did somebody lie and tell him Huntsman’s Jewish?
What I’m busy trying to figure out is what this means about Carter’s view of Obama. Does Carter think that Obama is doomed and therefore he’d rather see Romney win? Or does Carter think Obama has a better chance of defeating Romney than any of the other Republicans? Another theory is that Carter is worried that Romney could defeat Obama and he figured his approval of Romney would amount to the best sort of sabotage he could imagine–though I think that theory is less likely than the other two.
