A system I do NOT get. I’ve never sent even ONE text message, and I’ve never tweeted either. If I want to talk to someone, I just CALL them.
Text messages have some real benefits, such as giving directions or phone numbers. Too easy to expand that to text conversations which are ridiculous when you could just talk.
Text messages are nice for when you want to have a short conversation, while at work, with your spouse, about what to have for dinner or when to be picked up from work or any number of similar things, but where you don’t want to talk so as not to disturb the other people in the office.
Text messages are preferable to voice mail.
