As an adopted Wisconsonian, I have been to many a tractor pull. One tractor pull came down to a contest between an antique John Deere with this massive-displacement chug-chug-lug 3-cylinder Diesel and a modern Ford tractor with a high-speed turbo engine. The John Deere won. I thought it to be a powerful metaphor for something.
Tell me, is there such a thing as a Combine Demolition Derby? Never been to one.
Yes there is and it’s just as awesome as it sounds.

Born and raised in Iowa. Had one of the best dogs I’ve ever hunted behind and not one, I mean NOT ONE passing stranger ever asked me how she hunted. Last I looked. Iowa unemployment was lower than California. Isn’t buying a house for 40k a GOOD thing? It will even have a basement, usually. I call BS on this guy and fear for the students he teaches. If he is going to try and control their lives down to how they use holiday greetings, as the the Kung Fu master said to Kane, “It is time for you to go.”
