OK, as a CCH holder, I’m torn on this one. For a primary reason.
If this lady had the gun in her purse she’s SUPPOSED to have a concealment permit from her home state. And she was SUPPOSED to check for that permit acceptability in another state before leaving home. I say ‘supposed’ because everything I read says none of us should ever leave home without checking other states because the laws are always in flux.
And it’s beyond me, HTH anyone could have missed the idiot gun laws in NY and NYC. For her to assume that she could just ‘travel’ with her pistol in the 21st Century to any destination outside her home state seems short sighted.

A fourth year medical student should be (better be IMHO) a damned smart person. This show some serious lack of smarts and a definite lack of planning skills!
If she’s going to be MY Primary Care doctor / Surgeon / Specialist / whatever, I want her to be smart enough to not get herself locked up for something this dumb.
Thus far, she’s primarily falling short of being a Primary, primarily.
