  1. I think Mrs. Matula must have slept with a Tea Party member at some point. Either that or they got his salary increase cut from 500% to 400%.

  2. Ahh, the last wails of a failed movement, crying overwhat other folks say about them. I guess its OK for the Tea Party folks to lie about the Democrats being socialists and their President not having any legal right to be in power, but its not OK for the DNC to respond to it.

    1. Gun rights was a “failed movement” twelve years ago.

The Tea Party can’t help but succeed. The money just isn’t there. When you disagree with the Tea Party, you are agreeing with exponential increase of budgets from now till eternity. It ain’t gonna happen. Ten years from now, you will be moving on to some other conservative group to hate and will be making excuses for the things you said today.

      1. If you make your living sucking at the government tit, you will reject any notion that the tit is running dry. Anyone who points out that the tit is running dry must be demonized because facing the inevitable truth is just too scary. It seems some people – when faced with a drying up tit – will just suck harder trying to get theirs “firstest and mostest” – to hell with anyone else.

        1. I find that folks that make such statements often have a history of getting money from the federal government. Look at Michele Bachmann as an example.

      2. Ken,

No, that is one of the lies the Tea Party is spreading. Shrinking the Debt is easy, the GI Generation knew how. First restore taxes to where they were when the economy was booming under the Clinton Administration, or even during President Reagan’s second term. Then stop wasting trillions on foreign adventurism playing world cop. But returning to the 1850’s as the Tea Party wants makes no sense.

        1. Thomas, look at the budget. Defense spending is only a portion of it. Entitlements are the rest of the iceberg. And a lot of defense spending is more of the same entitlement and pork spending that occurs elsewhere, just spent on military personnel or contractors.

  3. The press release challenges Wasserman-Schultz to a debate. Sincere question: does anyone know who in particular would be debating on behalf of the tea party?
I wonder how they would decide? I checked the website listed in the link, but didn’t notice anything about the debate.

  4. I suspect that by this time, few of us regulars take very seriously anything Matula writes; but isn’t it interestingt that this guy who recently indicated he is some sort of small-libertarian gets so incensed by the biggest grass-roots anti-statist movement in recent history? For a guy who likes to pose as some kind of independent, he certainly likes his serfs docile and quiet.

  5. That’s just how the big lie works. It must be repeated over and over regardless of the facts.

People that believe in sanity must be insane, racist, red neck ninnies that cling to outdated documents because Wasserman says so. Are you going to believe her or all those lying facts that keep sneaking into the light?

  6. Matula does go on and on, doesn’t he? I mean, if he had any actual facts it might be interesting, but he come off on the Tea Party as such a “radio signals from the Face on Mars are controlling reptoid doppelgangers of the Bavarian Illuminati through the Boy Scouts to create the Tea Party” type that he’s just entertainment value.

    1. Its amazing how folks, once they are conned, refuse to believe it. It looks like PT Barnum was right in that regard.
