  1. Don’t leave out Darrell Issa.

He has secured millions of dollars in Congressional earmarks for road work and public works projects that promise improved traffic and other benefits to the many commercial properties he owns here north of San Diego. In one case, more than $800,000 in earmarks he arranged will help widen a busy thoroughfare in front of a medical plaza he bought for $16.6 million.

His constituents cheer the prospect of easing traffic. At the same time, the value of the medical complex and other properties has soared, at least in part because of the government-sponsored road work.

    1. You must want sick people to die in traffic. See what I did there?

Earmarks are certainly a bi-partisan problem and they should be dealt with by a vigorous debate followed by action. What should not happen is the silence of debate by saying things like I did above.

One party has been doing a good job of silencing the voices of debate by leveling charges that so and so is racist, wants to throw grandma off a cliff, and wants kids to get poisoned by dirty air and water.

The funny thing is the throw grandma off the cliff used to be a joke poking fun of Democrat strategies to divide people by race, religion, class, and age but then they actually made a commercial where grandma was thrown off the cliff.

  2. I don’t leave out any of them Jim. They are all corrupt to a greater or lessor amount. Why would they spend more than their salaries to get the job?

The media is in on it. Quite willing to vilify any decent person that wants to actually serve the public.
