  1. I just think we need to hold them as criminals when they give tax dollars to those that give campaign contributions. I know that is the system and I’m crazy for suggesting otherwise; but it is still a clear conflict of interest and should be eliminated (from all parties.) Visions of Senator Davy Crockett (his “Not Yours to Give” speech) being corrected by some old farmer keeps dancing through my head.

  2. I think it’s very telling that the uber-wealthy, elite, caviar eating, champagne guzzling Hollyweird types want to tell Joe Average who’s responsible for their suffering.

Mind you, I don’t begrudge them their wealth, but George Clooney, a guy who hasn’t been to the grocery store or a big box DIY store or an airport check in desk in 20 years, really isn’t the guy I want financial or political advice from. And beyond that, aren’t they the very ones who are always talking about the rich getting richer?

I haven’t noticed Clooney, Streisand, et al, giving THEIR money away. The guy is worth $160M. Are you telling me that he doesn’t have money guys and accountants to beat back his taxes until he’s paying just as little as he can?
