This would be funny, if it wasn’t so close to he truth. Not sure where I saw it, but there was a site showing Obama’s post bin Laden Speech and GWB’s post bin-Laden ‘speech’.
Bush’s speech was short and mostly about the bravery of the SEAL Team and winning the War on Terror. I’m no FDR lover, but I don’t remember any “I…I…I…I…” speeches from him in anything I ever read about WWII.
Obama’s speech was 8 or 10 sentences, and most of them started with the word “I”. As do most of his sentences. But on this occasion it seems more over the top than usual, given that fact that 25 or so SEALs and 3 or 4 air crews risked THEIR @$$es to kill bin Laden. And obviously bin Laden gave up all he had for his cause.
It wouldn’t be a gutsy call if it didn’t take 8-10 months of deliberation.
The linked story is too hard to believe because it would require Obama to be good at golf, which he isn’t.
What says it all to me is that “War Room” photo where everyone is sitting together watching a screen that’s out of frame.
Look at their faces….
Gates looks as one ought to..stern and tough…Hillary? Well she looks horrified but that’s ok..especially for a pacifist.
Even Biden has the right look.
