  1. They had a live stream of the dragon doing its approach to the ISS last night at 11:45.

  2. I’m kind of curious how the astronauts on ISS will feel when they spend a little time inside Dragon. This is a cargo capsule that has windows after all, and is essentially just a forerunner of the manned Dragon in development. I wonder if any of them will feel a hint of excitement at the idea that they are inside a vehicle that is so very close to being able to carry humans into orbit and put the USA back on the map in manned spaceflight.

    1. I think I remember reading somewhere that NASA insisted that cargo Dragon not have windows for some reason.

      1. Probably something to do with MMOD (micrometeoroid and orbital debris) protection.

      2. The windows in the pressure hull are indeed covered/bolted shut. NASA might have had something to do with it, or it was just SpaceX’s decision to minimize risks. Or a combination thereof.

The windows will most likely be covered by cargo racks anyway – so it might not make much sense.

      3. Eliminate any risk of banging something hard and heavy into a window while unloading the cargo, with potentially catastrophic results, when a window is completely unnecessary to the mission. Also, if the crew on the ISS didn’t pay for a window seat, they’re by gosh not going to get a window seat.

  3. Seems like it would of been a good idea to put an “Eat at Joe’s” neon sign on the side of that thing.
