  1. Don’t need much a poll. The most successful industry under open in the firearm industry. I would say Obama deserves credit for two reasons: one, he didn’t (or at least wasn’t successful) control the firearm industry, and two, he reminded many the value of the 2nd amendment.

    1. Ack…. rewrite: Don’t need much of a poll. The most successful industry under Obama is the firearm industry…

  2. Obama should get an award from the NRA for promoting gun and ammo sales. He’s caused more guns to be sold over the last three years than any other person, sales brochure or firearms outlet.

  3. I don’t know if this is much to crow about. Almost half of Americans approve of jock itch more than they approve of President Obama.

      1. I see a joke in these two posts! What is the difference between the Obama Administration and Jock Itch?

  4. Also, the NRA is more popular than either major party. That is why it’s straight out of Bizarro World for leftists to talk about the NRA as if its negatives are so self-evident that they don’t even have to explain them.

An example is the NYT talking about Democrat senators from heavily pro-gun states “knuckling under” to the NRA. For a Democrat like Jon Tester from Montana, voting pro-gun isn’t knuckling under to the NRA. It’s knuckling under to his constituents.

  5. “Obama should get an award from the NRA for promoting gun and ammo sales. He’s caused more guns to be sold over the last three years than any other person, sales brochure or firearms outlet.”

Many years ago, notorious hoplophobe Carl Rowan shot (with a gun!) an intruder who was trying to swim in his suburban pool. This, during the time when he was filling the airwaves (and newspapers) with fulminations against “hair-trigger” gunowners. Needless to say, this caused a huge fuss, and much embarrasment for Rowan. IIRC, the NRA (or one of its state affiliates) actually made an award to Rowan, heaping praise on him for advancing the right to keep and bear arms.
