Well there’s your problem. Your typical statist progressive will claim it is because China is communist that it is easier to open a new business. On the other hand, a CEO in China isn’t worried about excessive tort, but rather being dragged into the local stadium and getting a bullet in the head.

Obama doesn’t give a damn about creating a prosperous economy. If he did, he wouldn’t be doing the stupid things he’s doing. Instead, he wants to create prosperous cronies, crooks and statists. And once he’s out of office, they’ll take very good care of him, too.
