For anyone wondering what happened yesterday, my server died (MB or PS, not sure which). Just so you didn’t think you went back in time a couple weeks overnight. I’ve been running on a new machine since yesterday, but we didn’t update the databases until just a few minutes ago. Normal blogging and commenting can recommence.

Not sure if it is your new server or changes on the back end of the blog but everything is loading much faster now.
It’s a much faster machine, with more memory, than the old one. I’d been planning on doing the upgrade, but yesterday’s events accelerated it.
It is also no longer switching randomly between mobile and desktop. Nice!
Heh, I was going to say that before I saw you did, but then I realized I would need to qualify it with “…not yet, so far, anyway.”
It’s nice when stuff works. SDB once pointed out that failures should be engineered to be graceful. Not sure that one qualified. It’s nice to be able to actually read your blog now and have it remember my info.
