  1. IOWAHAWK: What does the media call a candidate who slams his opponent
for dissing Big Bird and not appearing on Nickelodeon? “The adult in
    the room.”

  2. There is a video from some Metropolitan Detroit TV station where the interviewer snarks (in a nasty tone of voice, by the way), “how are tax cuts (going to help the inner city of Detroit)” at the end of a defense of current gun laws (as being tough enough — they are, and Paul Ryan was correct in defending them).

What Congressman Ryan should have said that Detroit has suffered under both Democratic and Republican administrations, but what tax cuts are about is jump starting the economy so Detroit doesn’t suffer the way it is suffering under this Administration.

But Mr. Ryan “had a belly full” from that reporter and lashed out “don’t stuff words in my mouth” at the interviewer.

I am not saying I would have done any better in terms of not letting my emotions get away from me, but I am not the VP candidate either.

Accuse me of “concern trolling”, but a lazy, slow soft pitch came over the plate when the reporter snarled “tax cuts.” I would like to think that Mr. Ryan could have rattled off the statistics of how Detroit has suffered economically, especially under the Obama Plan, and how the Romney Ryan plan will make a difference.

Mr. Ryan has the facts at his fingertips, but he is maybe not as experienced and in control of his emotions as Mr. Romney, and we need to keep our fingers crossed on this debate.
