  1. In the local citizen factory, which my three children attend, the physical education instructors preach a regime of four to eight carb servings a day and watch out for saturated fat. It gives me joy to tell the instrutors that we cook with lard at my house. My kids eat a rasher of bacon with juice for breakfast. Peperoni or other sausage with fresh fruit and raw veggies for lunch and meat and veggies for dinner, every night. My kids are the thinnest ones in the school. We only consume carbs in dessert items.

  2. Jardinero1,
I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation!

My son and DiL got a ‘nasty gram’ from the grade school last year because my grandson told the teacher that he had pepperoni pizza for breakfast. The administrators told the that they could get ‘free’ breakfast for him if they couldn’t afford to feed him breakfast.

They pretty much told the school food Nazis he was fine, and proceeded to give them the nutritional breakdown of a slice of pizza vs the orange ‘drink’ and cinnamon roll, that were on the official school web site for the day in question.
