  1. The Hive–and not just the usual gang of idiots and script-bots, but the stupidest branch of the Hive– adopting this as their latest “cause celebre” pretty much tells you all you need to know about it.

  2. As I asked someone the other day, “wait, you watch television?”

    It’s been about 10 years since I watched the 6 o’clock news. I can’t remember when I bought a newspaper last.

If everyone stopped financially supporting these idiots and they’d go away.

  3. Malco’s essay seems to say that what killed Trayvon Martin was negative stereotypes of blacks perpetuated by the media. I guess that leftist media you guys keep talking about. Anyway, this is pretty rich coming from an actor who played a drug dealer in Weeds, and whose blurb at HuffPo proudly states that he was once part of the rap group College Boyz, whose hit song includes lyrics like:

5-0 might roll through quite slow
Keep the forty in the bag
And throw away the Zig Zag

    Call me anything
From a hoodlum to a thug
You can push and you can shove
    And I still won’t budge

    1. So he isin’t allowed to cahnge his mind or to grow as a person? Gee, that’s a bigoted attitude.

    2. No Dave, they are seen as thugs, because they LOOK, ACT, TALK, and DRESS like thugs, crooks, druggies, etc, etc, etc.

The media doesn’t shape anyone’s opinion who has been out in public, and seen these clowns for what they are. I added a comment here last week , or the week before, about having to face down 4 20somethging ‘Trayvons’ in a grocery store parking lot. It wasn’t the MSM that made me see them as trouble.

They set that in motion, all by themselves by acting like fools in the Kroger for an hour. But what sinched it for ME, was the 4 of them taking me on, in a parking lot.. And what bravery they showed, taking me on, 4 of them, against me…gray bearded, near 60, fat, limping, lone, white man with a cane. But, I set MY own opinion of them when the leader, whom I nick named ‘Mouthy’ in the police record, said to me,
      .
      .
“…crazy, old, WHITE, fat, MFer…what’s wrong with you old man?! Wa’ch’ou lookin at?!”
      .
      .
I don’t need Glenn Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly or Limbaugh or the ghost of Wm. F. Buckley as the Conservative Media drum beaters, nor do I need the Hollyweird Directors or Writers to set my opinion of such people as T – H – U – G – S., be they male or female, black, white, brown yellow or purple with yellow dots, I see them as they project themselves.

Using the old Dan Ratherbiased line, “…if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck…”, then I know it for what it is.

But, having said that, they DO have choices. They could fight the trend and choose their own path. Many of us fight our societal upbringing or background to make our own path. And to my mind, and even considering my Italian roots and ALL the talk about Mafia, Cosa Nostra, Mob stuff I heard growing up, I know of no other ethnic group in American History, who saw going to jail as a rite of passage and being a thug as the be all and end all, for upward mobility, like AA do NOW.

(when Italian mob guys got out of jail,m they didn’t go BUY clothes that look like prison garb, as do modern thugs! so they’re pretty easy to SPOT, IMHO)

So Dave, is the media selling US the idea that these people are thugs, or are THEY selling it to us and themselves, generation after generation, after generation? Most of the modern thugs, base their persona off of the Crips and Bloods type gangs that got started in the late 1960’s. So, coming forward, that’s at least two generations of thuggery there passed on and revered. If not 4, given the propensity of inner city youth to procreate as teens!

It’s almost the same kind of mindset that is in families who are cops or firemen or families like mine, who have a history of military service. Saving the obvious, cops, firemen, soldiers, sailors and airmen don’t START their career in front of a JUDGE!

The thugs got their hints for ‘thugishness’, from gangs going back to the Spanish gangs in SoCal from the 20’s and 30’s. That would be almost 100 years of family after family in or around gangs. After a while, you’d think someone would pull the plug and get their kids the hell out of there, or leave before they had kids, so as to avoid that life. And some do, but most, seemingly, seek out that life.

To paraphrase Carl Denham, in the original “King Kong” movie,
      .
      .
“Oh no, it wasn’t the Media. It was their chosen life of thuggery that killed the little thug beasts!”

    3. Malco was a positive role model who played sensitive plant biologist Conrad on weeds, not the tough, thuggish U-Turn who tried to enslave a white woman. Conrad stood up for family values, improved plant genetics (developing MILF weed), and productive, open, and voluntary inter-racial business development, valuing profit and productivity over dependency and senseless violence and intimidation.

So of course the left and black leadership is going to throw him under the bus, viciously attacking and deriding him just like U-Turn did.
